The defining feature of this building is the use of earth shelter cooling systems whereby the building is partly sunk into the ground. The building has been oriented to make the best of solar radiation available on its surfaces during winters. Another feature of this building has been the integration of solar water heaters with architectural design. The article describes the guest house at Solar Energy Centre at Gurgaon.
